Catalan in La Franja. 2014

This article provides a broad analysis of the main sociolinguistic variables of the Survey of Language Use in La Franja, 2014, and the changes compared to the first survey conducted in 2004. Over the last decade, there has been a notable increase in the non-native population and in the population that does not use Catalan at all. A large proportion of the other sociolinguistic changes observed are associated with these phenomena. With regard to the name used for the language, there has been an increase in the use of the academic term Catalan, putting it in first place.
