This article aims to organize the literary corpus of the Catalan author Francesc Alegre (ca. 1450-1508). First, the article opens by showing that the Commento ai Trionfi (1466-1471) of the Sienese writer Bernardo Ilicino can be used to explain Alegres translations and production processes. Indeed, even if the purpose of the Commento is to interpret Petrarchs Trionfi, by interpreting the verses in relation to other authors works, Bernardo Ilicino provides the reader with secondary resources and references. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the two translations by Alegre, La primera Guerra púnica and the Transformacions, are by two important authors that appear in this Commento, Leonardo Bruni and Ovid, respectively. Secondly, the article provides dellenguatails that should be borne in mind with regard to the original text used by Alegre in his Transformacions and Al·legories.
