The article discusses, in a wry tone, some of the frequent errors made by government agencies related to information technology, based on the experience of consulting services provided to different units of the Generalitat de Catalunya, provinces and city government. Organised in 10 parts, it discusses: the difference between information and information technology, decision-making in information technology, organisational learning, institutional web design errors, content creation, usability errors, use of the PDF format, introduction of content management systems, introduction of free source software, and the changes in intellectual property protection.
