At a time when the interrela-tionship between people, ecosystems and the planet is becoming increasingly evi-dent and unbalanced, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by the United Nations in 2015 continues to provide us with a shared framework for individual and collective action. An in-ternational political agenda that, for the first time, recognizes the importance of knowledge as a key piece in unders-tanding and addressing the Sustainable Development Goals it raises (SDGs). The combination of Agenda 2030 and open knowledge is key to building a path to a fairer, more peaceful and resilient society.
