A reflection on university master's degrees in relation to the profession is presented, as well as their challenges in the professional field and the current situation. It includes the list of university master's degrees offered by Spanish universities in relation to librarianship and information science. As a main conclusion, a strategy is proposed that allows to gain visibility and work areas for information and documentation.
