From research to society: Knowledge transfer in times of crisis

This article starts out from a reflection on the concept of knowledge transfer, particularly with regard to the field of Huma-nities, putting it forward as a solution for research funding in a context of widespread economic difficulties. Moreover, it points to the possibilities for expansion for Library and Documentation Science offered by the expertise of researchers in the domain, and underlines the importance of the relationship between researchers and knowledge transfer agents. The abundant examples provided intend to act as a source of encouragement for all those researchers who seek new projects and new ways of delivering their research to society.
