Managing and developing a collection of comics: Tecla Sala

Description of four experiences of comics collections in public libraries. The purpose is to provide a view of different approaches to managing this type of material in the following libraries: Biblioteca Joan G. Junceda (Blanes), Biblioteca Fages de Climent (Figueres), Biblioteca Can Sumarro and Biblioteca Tecla Sala (both of Hospitalet de Llobregat). Taken as a whole these four cases address some of the most important issues in library practice: objectives, models for collection development, selection criteria, statistics and use, types of users, collection management, etc.
