Lluís Codina Bonilla
An overview of the more relevant fields where professionals of Library and Information sciences could act in the next years within companies, organisms, and business. Fields as integral documentation management, knowledge management, information architecture, and competitive intelligence. The review starts considering the information as the central objective of library and information studies, and explaining the concept of information and its relationship with facts, data and knowledge. Altogether, it seems that information sciences have a great future, but it is necessary that professionals made an important effort to adapt themselves to these new circumstances.
