Incorporation of departmental library resources into the individual library catalogue of the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya

The article deals with the problem presented by the dispersion of bibliographical resources in universities: apart from there being books and serials in university libraries, many documents are found in university departments and institutes where investigators, and teachers undertake the greater part of their academic activities. It describes how the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya attempted to approach the forementioned problem, creating and offering new library services.
