The article reviews the principle applications of the CD-ROM (Compact Disc-Read Only Memory) in the field of journalism. The characteristics of two types of products are studied : the editions of integrated periodical texts and the indexes accompanied by abstracts. A selected list of available CD-ROMs is attached.
