A portrait of today’s Official College of Librarians and Information Scientists of Catalonia (COBDC)

A review of recent developments marking the evolution of COBDC: organisational changes to professional associations; changes in degree programmes; public sector recognition and private sector valorisation; and emergence of new professions. Also discussed are the expectations and demands of professionals based on the results of two initiatives carried out by the College, providing first-hand information and insight into the challenges of the near future.
