Oxyethylenated alkylamines are surface agents which can be used as auxiliary products in wool and polyamide dyeing. The action of the dyeing auxiliary products depend largely on the dissolution state. This paper examines the conductivity of laurylamine and stearlylamine dissolutions with different levels of oxyethylenation, since the variation of conductivity provides information on the state of the above compounds in the solution. The influence of the length of the alkyl chain, of the number of mols of ethylene oxyde in the molecule, of the concentration and of temperature are also studied.
