The concept of dependency tends to be used with a markedly negative tone, as a synonym for vulnerability and lack of autonomy, whether in relation to political and economic dependence between territories, functional and physical dependence between people due to diseases or bodily and functional diversities that do not fit into the trapcitistic standardizations, the economic dependence of some individuals or groups on others, the dependence of living beings on others, the global dependence on technology, energy or raw materials, dependency on drugs or even emotional dependence.
That is why the present number of Immaterial contains three proposals for research into art and design that approach interdependent life from different points of view, recognising it, putting it at the centre, rethinking it, analysing it, putting it at stake and putting it in value.
Es por eso el presente número de Inmaterial recoge tres propuestas de investigación en arte y en diseño que se acercan desde distintos puntos de vista a la vida interdependiente, reconociéndola, situándola en el centro, repensándola, analizándola, poniéndola en juego y en valor.
