Javiera Carrera Verdugo: aproximaciones al imaginario socio político de una mujer de la independencia y a su presencia en la historiografía chilena.

This research examines the ideas and poltical actions of Javiera Carrera, active participant in the Chilean independence. Through the study of her correspondence during the years 1810-1822, this study problematizes representations of authority, political struggle, privileges, public space, exile, among other topics, in order to interpret a corpus who supports a socio-political imagination of a woman neglected by Chilean historiograhpy, therefore this workalso discusses the historiographical discourse that underestimates the role of women in the Chilean struggle for independence.
