Complementary Data from the Annual Index of Industrial Production of the Balearic Islands, 1850-2007

This work, strictly descriptive, complements the paper published in the 50th issue of this journal (2012) on the industrial production index for the Balearic Island region (Spain) (also known as IPIBAL) by Antonio Parejo and Carles Manera. Following a revision of the initial work, the newly published paper incorporates significant statistical materials used in the setting up of the above mentioned index. The inclusion of these materials provides researchers with a new database which is to help them trace the long term development of Spanish industry. The authors have worked on the basis of the conclusions reached in the 2012 paper as well as Antonio Parejo’s research that led to this contribution.
