This work describes the lexical, morphological and syntactic Castilianisms used by Joan Maragall in an epistolary corpus made up of 397 documents. The corpus, which covers the period between 1890 and 1911, has been taken from the four volumes that collect the author's correspondence and that were published between 1930 and 1936. These volumes are integrated, together with other 21, in the Maragall’s complete works which were directed by Joan Estelrich and published by Sala Parés Llibreria. The correspondence favors, in some cases and depending on the addressee, the use of a more spontaneous language closer to orality. The lexical Castilianisms found are typical of the chronological period. There are a much smaller number of Castilianisms of a morphological and syntactic nature.
