This paper aims to show a contextualized reflection of representation of women in the Chilean graph. For this purpose, it takes as point of reference two moments of recent history, 1973 and 2013, analyzed from the perspective of social poster, for 1973, and advertising piece, in 2013. Both communication supports were and are widely distributed in the Chilean public space in their respective times. One of the main results of this comparative approach is a significant change in the way that the role of woman was understood and how she was represented: Passing from an image of woman who embodies a social actor, inserted in a process of transformation, to another, which finds its identity in the subjectivity own of the consumer society self.
