Evaluación de la legibilidad de la tipografía tailandesa de diseño universal y las tipografías tailandesas de estilo romano en diferentes distancias de visualización

Este estudio comparó la legibilidad de la tipografía tailandesa de diseño universal (FT Manifest UD) con dos tipografías de estilo romano (DB Ozone y Sukhumvit Tadmai) en múltiples distancias. Se empleó una metodología de umbral de distancia con 31 participantes tailandeses de diversas edades y agudezas visuales, quienes identificaron 36 consonantes tailandesas en 15 distancias distintas. La Prueba de Wilcoxon reveló que FT Manifest UD superó significativamente a otras tipografías en legibilidad general (p < 0.05), aunque ciertas formas de letras, como Yo Yak /ย/, mostraron mejor desempeño en tipografías de estilo romano.
