Applied research in design Activity stages

Main Article Content

Rafael Pozo Puértolas

In an applied research, three stages are generally developed: the exploration of a study area, the generation of data through experimental methods, and the evaluation of the results that support the conclusions. In the discipline of design, it is usual to compare these stages with those that we develop in a design process. Possibly it’s a bug, or maybe not. For this reason, we ask ourselves: how is applied research in design developed?
We observe that there are different, similar tasks, and complementary. This work sustains that the possible differences are identified in the planning of the research activity.
