Latín squălus, griego ασπαλος, ewenki ollo, cukci kalal(ə) y lapón noruego guolle

The main goal of this paper is to analyse the Indo-European etymology of Latin squălus and Greek ασπαλος in order to go back into the deeper past and try to recover more information about the exact nature of the cognates. In addition, several points of the «Nostratic hypothesis» will be discussed as an attempt to improve the original formulation made by the Moscow School at the beginning of 60s of the 20th century.
