Flet Thallusa canens, aeque memor, immemor aeque. Un carmen latino de Giovanni Pascoli

The theme of our paper is the human and literary background of a great poet in the Italian Novecento, Giovanni Pascoli. We offer a brief presentation of his huge and significant production in Latin language. Particularly we shall study the carmen Thallusa, written in 1911, awarded in the International Competition of Latin Poetry by the Amsterdam Academy in 1912, and published in the same year after his author’s death. We present a Spanish translation of Thallusa, the first one up to our knowledge.
