Along the Persian campaign, Alexander established a clear process of imitatio with some divinities, especially Achilles, Heracles and Dionysus. The election of these models does not seem hazardous, but the result of the conqueror’s desire to build the path to his own divinity, acquiring then a personal position which would help him to impose his own autocracy.
