¿Cómo abordar la diversidad de género en la educación física escolar? Una propuesta para la práctica

This essay discusses a practical problem faced by physical education teachers: how to incorporate a gender perspective and open to sexual diversity? There are some common practices that express a traditional and narrow model of physical activity that, among other questionable aspects, reinforces stereotyped gender roles. To overcome them, we argue that it is necessary to rethink and modify practices: to diversify physical activities to be carried out, to encourage cooperative rather than competitive logic and to organize flexible groupings according to purpose and interests, among other orientations, may contribute to produce new practices, more open and respectful of diversity.
