What is the essence of Japanese Philosophy? This question can't be answered, because everything is imported or imitated. But it's possible to give a core of specific traits of the Japanese philosophical thought, as all forms of philosophy are taken from one source or thinker or another. The author gives a presentation of . ”Japanese Philosophical Thought” as a specific Eastern way of thought, checking the two main concepts that, according to the author, are the rwo sides of the mirror, which give light to the essence of Japanese philosophical thought: that of harmony and that of self-nihilization. The author expects that there will be a bridge between eastern and western thought through a Japanese philosophy in the future.
