Los límites del enunciado

The aim of this paper is to define the minor unit of communication, the statement, and to describe its boundaries. I revise its distinctive characteristics and propose the activity of the "enunciador" as the key to determine which segments constitute one statement or two. This is crucial in cases as parentheticals, “suspended” sentences, or dialogic cooperation.
