A series of didactic resources addressed to the development of activities of modeling in science is proposed, giving examples of each one of them addressed to the study of chemical change. Specifically, several activities are presented using analogies, mental experiments, simulations and animations. All of them are inside a didactic sequence around that model, contextualized in the frame of chemical contamination, and more specifically, through the study of chemical combustion processes.
