In the text there analyzes the evolution of the property of the land in the Delta of the Ebro between middle of the 12th century and the introduction of the culture of the rice (1860’s in the right hemidelta; 1910’s in the left hemidelta). The process relates to the natural, economic, demographic and social conditions that prevailed in this zone along everything of the period. Three groups are distinguished for what concerns to the origin of the property: the small property based on the aprisio; the big properties originated in feudal grants; and the grants of the Royal Patrimony (from the 15th century). Every group presents a peculiar evolution that ends in a two-pole structure based on the great property and the small property.
