Women under siege: The Santa Bárbara company from Girona

This article intends to offer some examples of female speech that reflect an active involvement in episodes of real and undeniable threat risk as in the case of sieges. This article was proposed to verify the involvement of women in the fight scenes, particularly in episodes of real threat in the case of sieges and try to determine to what extent the need to take a stand in defense of their cities, their families, resulted in a greater or lesser use of space itself from them male. Specifically, we try to retrieve from oblivion the contribution of women and their action on the Penninsular War in Girona.
