This paper focuses on contributions from women scientists, thinkers and activists that allow us to renew our conceptualization of nature and mankind. It distinguishes between different types of ecofeminist theory and praxis that seek social justice and sustainability, and proposes an Enlightened ecofeminism that preserves the legacy of modernity.
