This article contrasts key aspects of the experience Norah Borges (1901-1998) and Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986) had in Spain in the early twenties as participants in “ultraism”. It also poses the question of how the artist's collaboration with her brother and with her future husband Guillermo de Torre may have influenced the evolution of her work, which fell more and more into line with a “new romanticism”
