Cinema at school didactic proposal

Cinema is not only part as a specific content of some curricula in the Spanish educational system, but we can consider it a transversal content, due to the values and conceptual and procedural learning that are transferred from it. Its importance and contribution in the educational system to contribute to the construction of the person is undoubted, and its innumerable possibilities of didactic adaptations, an almost unexplored source for pedagogical creativity. Its teaching is usually reduced to very limited technical aspects, and linked to traditional methodologies that are not very innovative, which do not pose deeper, inquiring, ambitious, analytical and open-minded objectives. In this article we present a proposal for a didactic action on a specific group-classroom, carried out at the Art School of Algeciras during the 2016-2017 academic year, in which we try to bring cinema to School. In the text, we present the activity, its implementation context, objectives, justification, methodology and detailed process by phases and actions, and the analysis of its results together with the conclusions. The proposal, which encompasses a multiplicity of theoretical-practical actions, revolves around the cinematographic viewing and the
semi-directed debate in the classroom. This group of 6 students from the Photography Training Module, discovered the otherness of cinema, opened their eyes to new looks and built identities and messages not perceived until now.
