Analysis of the development of a multimedia material made to food hygiene management

The integration of multimedia resources in the different educational levels provides a new possibility to improve the processes of teaching and learning. The aim of this article is to explain the elements that were considered to develop a multimedia material on the subject of Hygienic Food Handling for students of Gastronomy in a private institution in Mexico. The objective was to evaluate the pedagogical, functional, technical and aesthetic aspects of the multimedia resource. The phases of analysis, design, development and evaluation of the material are described. The results indicate that the multimedia material is an efficient tool to provide content in an attractive way to students' interest.
