The work analyzes the notion of Derridean spectrality to highlight several uses in contemporaryphilosophy, including, among others, destabilization of the threshold between lifeand death, review of the metaphysics of presence and of the humanist treatment of otherness,as well as the deconstruction of a certain inheritance of spirit and, along with this,of a conception of history and idealistic politics. Finally, the figure of the specter allowsfor a non-dialectic articulation of Derriden aporetics raised in recent years.
