The article studies the presence of the Catalan journalist and important member of the staff of the “Diario the Barcelona” Joan Mañe y Flaquer in the two catholic congress of Malinas. The author points out the interest of conservative Catholics in Catalonia, by the positions of some French catholic thinkers in order to connect religion and modern liberal society.
