Criminological reports for access to early release in Neuquén, Argentina. The processes for their elaboration and their impact on judicial decisions

The article intends to identify the theoretical background and the model used to produce the criminological reports to evaluate the parole in Neuquen. It also focuses on how those reports impact on the judicial decisions and in the criminal justice system. To accomplish that, initially, the research is based on document analysis of the law and the institution assigned to elaborate the criminological reports in the province of Neuquen. Further, the research focuses on the reports and judicial decisions from January to July 2022 in the city of Neuquen, an amount of 27 cases. Finally, to get to know the visions of the professionals concerning the subject, some in-depth interviews were conducted in the First Judicial District of Neuquen.
