Human trafficking, a 21st slavery: An approach from the perspective of migrant victims

Human trafficking for the purpose of sexual and labour exploitation, which especially affects women and girls, is a very serious violation of human rights that affects around 2.5 million people in the world every year. It is a flourishing business that has become the second in the world behind drug trafficking. In this work, we try to make an approach to this reality from a human rights perspective, studying particularly the cases of women subjected to trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
