The poetic works of Josep Palau i Fabre have much common ground with the writings of Carl Gustav Jung. This paper explores the two authors’ notions of concept of individuation, and their approaches to shadow, the metaphorical use of alchemy, the collective unconscious, and the ideas of anima and animus and of authentic knowledge.
