Possibility of the Impossible. The Fantastic Philosophy of Derrida

Main Article Content

Juan Evaristo Valls Boix

The aim of this paper is to analyze Derrida’s later work through the logic of the fantastic genre in order to view it as a fantastic philosophy. The conceptual coincidences of Derridian thought with the terminological proposals of literary critics such as Roas and Campra, as well as the similarities between functions and dynamics that these elements display, indicate a contamination of philosophy by the devices of fantastic narrative. The article will also look at the way in which Derrida criticizes logocentrism and homohegemony through these devices. By doing this, fantastic literature’s claim of being a subversive and critical thinking is confirmed.
