This article analyzes the burlesque reproduction of procedures from fantasy and horror cinema in the comic Nancy in Hell, by El Torres. It examines the complete corpus (2010-2019), in which the protagonist, wielding a chainsaw, journeys through Hell while deconstructing the recognizable conventions of gore, pulp fantasy, and supernatural horror. The result is a narrative, visually explosive and sharply caustic in its dialogue. Adopting a cinematic narratology approach applied to comics, we employ an intermedial analysis that maps both explicit and implicit cinematic influences in the comic — references to cult films, narrative rhythm and sequential arrangement, satirical verbal exchanges — in order to identify the keys to its visual re-signification within the graphic medium. The aim is to show how Nancy in Hell reinvigorates inherited genre frameworks through a discourse that blends legacy and violence, irony and structural critique, grounded in a cinegraphic matrix rooted in consolidated genres.
