Boletín americanista is a scientífic journal published by Scientific Journals of the University of Barcelona (RCUB) and Editions UB. Since 1959 is e forum for discussion of the hhistory of America, aimed at a specialized audience. He dedicated to promoting academic productions, from the year 2010 established the biannual basis. It aims to facilitate interdisciplinary discussion about the past and present of the American countries. They accommodate research on the pre-columbian past, the colonial history as well as contemporary and modern history of the American republics, without excluding scientific fields such as anthropology, sociology or art. The magazine accepts articles that draw comparisons with other geographical areas but American perspective. The Editorial Board invites the submission of contributions, articles and dossiers, unpublished and original, as well as book reviews, which will include the dates of receipt and approval by the Editorial Board. The publication language is Spanish. Summary in Spanish and English. The requirement is that the texts are original, that have not been previously published, and not on evaluation to be incorporated into other publications. Manuscripts are reviewed by external evaluators, and the final decision is communicated to the author/a. The maximum time from the receipt of the item until its publication is one year, but altered depending on the programming of the magazine. The publication frequency is half-yearly.
