The lack of an organized political administration and conflicts within the Treasury of independent Mexico were causes of concern for the different governments during the nineteenth century. The expulsion of the Spanish and slow arrival of foreign investment gave rise, among politicians and in public opinion, to the perceived need of creating a middle class. Men and women who wanted to risk their capital to invest in the “progress” of the new society, convinced of the Liberalism of the time. The purpose of this essay is to consider the political and economic relations interwoven between the newly-formed power groups in Mexico from the regional perspective
