El análisis de la temprana emigración gallega a Buenos Aires: un ejercicio de variación de la escala

The studies about European migrations towards America showed themselves as a fertile terrain to discuss the problems related to the election of a certain research scale. Thus, limitations related to the use of national and regional research frameworks have been indicated, with different purposes and results. Nevertheless, in the case of the Spanish emigrations, the reflection about the regional scale may still be studied in depth in the light of specific researches. Along this work we propose to reveal and corroborate the difficulties related to the use of the regional point of view, according to the examination of a particular case: the Galician emigrations towards Buenos Aires during the mid 19th century. We’ll also try to consider what adequate research scale should be selected to understand this phenomenon and other similar cases.
