The present research demonstrates with a case study the processes of violation of human rights regarding Central American migrants that pass through Mexico. International law, in spite of its good faith, can do nothing about the violent actions of the States where those breaches are suffered, while paradoxically violations of human rights are even fostered; against all this, migrants can only rely on their cultural practices to protect themselves from danger and death.
