Creative craftwork in Spain: Art goes back to matter

Main Article Content

Manuel Blas García Ávila
From a formal and aesthetic approach, a distinction between art, traditional crafts and creative crafts is made, considering the latter as a contemporary form of artistic expression and counting on the conceptual contribution of surveyed artisans. The validity of matter as a medium for creativity is also posed, as well as usefulness as a characteristic added value. The indivisibility of the work of artisan creativity is expounded, defending the integrity of the process of elaboration as a way of integrity of the individual.
