Territory and borders as a geostrategic limit of the State: the case of Haiti and the Dominican Republic

This work has as main intention to lead an eventual discussion on the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The border is considered as a line that demarcated the sovereign States. In the current scenario, it is great relevance that seems to fade on a global, national scale and, leading the process of multi-state relativization of State. It is necessary to analyze how State is essential in the establishment of territorial control with the effect of the evolution the techniques of crossing, strengthening and geopolitical control of demographic episodes, the expansion and the dynamics of exchanges, in political considerations of a wide State interdependence. The methodology of work is based on support in bibliographical readings, books, theses, scientific articles and experiences of frontiers, that allows us to make a study filter in a dialectical bias and attributing to the elucidation of the discussion about the relevance of international borders.
