The gothic cloister of the cathedral of Sant Pere de Vic presents a cycle of fourteen capitals dedicated to santa Maria Magdalena. It is one of the most extensive programs conserved in Europe of the legend of the Provencal miracle. The choice of iconography must be related to the cult of Mary Magdalene in the cathedral: the foundation of her altar, the liturgical celebrations of Holy Week with the dramas of Visitatio Sepulcri and Peregrinus, and with the presence in the cathedral of texts that included the life and the death of the saint.
