Based on a documentary film entitled The Clearing Method, its author, José Manuel Mouriño, developed an approach in which he rearticulates the plot lines and images. The text seeks to analyze how some cinematographic images (documentary films about the Spanish civil war, press images, and the extraordinary movie directed by Victor Erice, The Spirit of the Beehive) can serve as arguments to analyze the importance of the concept of “exile” in the thought of María Zambrano.
