This paper aims to approach and amplify one of the most important points of Maria Zambrano’s work: the articulation between what is sacred and what is divine.The observation of the destruction of European society, including Spanish society, in the first part of the twentieth century, pushed her to consider them as necessary topresent new ways of question ingreality. The search for new explanations would lead to a reflection regarding an unavoidable issue within the inner workings of her thought: the relationship between humans and the divine as a source of fundamental cultural contexts.
