Beyond pre-established routes: the tensions of gender in a joint effort of Graffiti

This text seeks to give visibility to gender inequalities and strategies and tactics for coping with this situation, highlighting unusual situations and gimmicks, in Recife, Brazil. Those inequalities are expressed by borders, accessions, oppositions and alternatives. This is qualitative research of ethnographic inspiration, using the field diary,and that prioritizes the scene of a joint effort of graphite as a context of tensions update, games and practices articulation among such young people. It is the diversity among young people, from their modes of insertion / participation: there are "committed ", that that present themselves as subordinate to the laws of their partners, suggesting adherence to hegemonic masculine model; single Young women which differentiate between the rookies which show greater difficulty to locate and thematize gender inequalities; and those that are longest in the movement, and openness to produce situations of subordination in order to autonomy.
