This article seeks to explore new centers of gravity that allow inventing other ways of inhabiting the world, different from the society of control that destructively mobilizes everything "that is" in order to ensure its infinite growth. First, I develop the transit that goes from the disciplinary society to the society of control. Then, linking this transition to the collapse of the modern emancipatory project, I propose that the cybernetic
government of life puts into action the unconditional will to power, revealing it in turn as the nerve of the Western project. Finally, I observe that, in its own process of breaking down, the "lack of" principles that could legitimize any form of government of the existence that makes violence its cardinal axis, is verified. This "emptiness" offers us the possibility of cultivating a poetics of kindness born from the experience of fragility shared by all possible ways of life, human and nonhuman.
